Solar Victoria Rebates for Victorian Homes

As of August 2026, eligible Victorian households can access a solar PV rebate of up to $1,400. An equivalent interest-free loan of up to $1,400 may also be available to eligible applicants.

• Up to $1,400 for eligible locally made hot-water products.
• Up to $1,000 for other eligible hot-water products.

For applications submitted from 1 July 2026, the combined household taxable-income cap for the Solar Victoria solar-PV and hot-water rebates is $150,000 per year. Additional eligibility criteria apply, including property and previous-rebate requirements.

Eligible customers can potentially access both a solar-panel rebate and hot-water rebate.

Solar Victoria advises customers who intend to claim both and have not previously claimed Solar Victoria support to generally apply for the solar-PV rebate first.

Eligible customers may also be able to combine the Solar Victoria hot-water rebate with a Victorian Energy Upgrades hot-water discount.

Solar Victoria generally requires the rebate process to be completed at the appropriate stage before eligible installation proceeds.
