Energy Upgrade Incentives for Victorian Businesses

Victorian businesses can access a range of incentives through the Victorian Energy Upgrades program when installing eligible energy-efficient products and systems.
Rather than applying one generic 'business rebate', incentives are calculated according to the technology, existing equipment, energy savings and current program methodology.

How VEU Business Incentives Work
When an eligible upgrade is completed through the VEU program, energy savings can generate Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs).
Each certificate represents one tonne of greenhouse gas emissions avoided.
Accredited providers create and sell these certificates, and their value contributes to the discount offered to the customer.

Standard and Custom Projects
Some business upgrades fit established VEU activities.
Larger or more complex projects may instead be considered through commercial or custom upgrade methodologies where applicable.
This makes it possible to assess a broader range of energy-efficiency projects than simple household appliance replacement.
